3 (.5) Month Pictures

My mommy and daddy took me to get pictures taken a few weeks ago. They were supposed to take me when I turned 3 months old, but they like to procastinate so it was more like 3 and a half months! Still, I  really enjoyed the photo shoot-my parents said I am a ham like my brother, Guinness! I thought I would share some of the best pictures with all of you!

And this one is my mommy's favorite!

My Christening

My Baptism was on October 30th, 2011 and it was a very special day for me! I was baptized at St Marys Church in Huntley and there were three other babies there-one of them was even named Mason too!! Many of my family and friends came to church to witness the big event. I was excited to see them, but with all the excitement of the day, I was asleep most of the time!
My outfit was special as it has been worn by many of my Saviano cousins! My cousins that have worn it were: Dan, Tony, Joe, Uncle Ricky, Nick, Mike, Jayden and Noah! Also, the afghan that I used that day was from my mommy's Baptism Day! Great-Grandma Wenderski made it! Unfortunately, we forgot to take a picture of me with the afghan, though!

My godparents are my Uncle Ricky and Aunt Marcy-they were a good choice!
After church, we went to celebrate at Lou Malnati’s Pizza! We had salad, pasta and stuffed pizza-it was so good! My mommy had to search high and low for just the right cake for me but she finally found it and it was so nice and yummy too!

There were over 70 people at my party!  I love them all and they all love me! I am a very fortunate baby!

Here are some more pictures from the big day!

After this party for me was such a success, I can’t wait for my first birthday! My parents are planning on finishing our basement to prepare for it!

My First Halloween!

I had a great first Halloween! My mommy picked out two costumes for me-a frog and a festive sleeper. I enjoyed wearing both costumes!
I wore my frog costume to my Thursday New Mommy group where we had a Halloween party. Here I am with all my friends:
On Halloween,  I visited my Grandma at work and we went to lunch. I got to meet her co-workers and they thought I was a cute frog! I also went to visit my Aunt Karen at her office. I had fun there too!
That night, my parents and I greeted trick-or-treaters at our house and that’s when I was wearing my Halloween sleeper, letting everyone know it was my first Halloween!

And here is my pumpkin! My parents traced my hands (I did not make it easy for them!) and those were the pumpkin’s eyes! We plan to do this every year as my hands keep growing!
I had so much fun this year-I am already looking forward to trick-or-treating next year!

Fall Fun!

Since I have last blogged, I have really been enjoying the fall season! I've watched lots of football and am anxiously awaiting my first Halloween! My parents took me to the pumpkin patch to get into the spirit!

We were also spectators at the Marathon and volunteered for the the MMRF on behalf of my late Grandma Goldermann:

Then last week, my mom and I went to the city to meet up with her friend, Elisa, who she used to work with at her old job. Elisa lives in Lakeview so I got to pass by Wrigley Field! It was raining, otherwise my mom would have taken me for a walk around the park! We had a very nice time with Elisa--here we are together!

Another fun thing I got to do was visit my Uncle Ron at the Rolling Meadows Fire Department where he is the Fire Chief! They had an open house for Fire Prevention week so we were able to see the firehouse and go into the trucks!  My Aunt Marcy, Uncle Al, Evalina and Grandpa Ron went too! We all had a great time!

In the Fire Station

Here's me sitting in the fire truck!

Later that night, my daddy went to the city for the weekend for a work conference. This was the first time it was just me and my mommy alone for a couple of days! My Grandma Saviano came over on Sunday to keep us company. We went to church and I loved it, I did not want to leave-I loved all the lights! After church, we went to lunch and for a walk with my brother, Guinness. Grandma even read us both a story!

As you can see, my first fall has been really fun, so far! I am looking forward to many more activities! Especially since my mommy is now going to stay at home with me full-time. She has left her job in order to spend more time with me! That means we are both free during the day so if you would like us to meet you for lunch, just let us know!

Two-month Updates!

Hello! A lot has happened since I have last blogged! Mainly, I turned two-months old! My parents said they can't believe how fast the time has gone!

Last Thursday, I went to the pediatrician for my two-month checkup. I like the pediatrician ok- they are very nice but sometimes they make me do stuff that I do not want to do. I don't like when they take off all my clothes so I can get weighed and measured. But, my mommy tells me that it's very important. I weighed 10lbs, 14 oz and am 21.5 inches tall! I have come along way from when I was first born and only weighed 5lbs, 15 oz and was 18 inches long! I also got some shots while I was there; I did not enjoy those at all!! Though, one shot I got to swallow and it tasted really good so I stopped crying when they gave me that! The next day after the shots, I was still very crabby! But I am better now and back to my old self!

I have been more awake and alert lately and been doing some new things. I found what my mommy told me are my hands a couple weeks ago. Now I put them in my mouth all the time!

I also realized that my mommy and daddy are funny people! They make me smile a lot and sometimes even squeal in delight when we are playing!

I like to play on my activity mat, my boppy, and dance with my mommy when we listen to music on the Comcast music channels! My favorite station is Pop Hits! That's when I smile the most! Here is me doing some tummy time with my parents-I am hard at work!

There are toys on my carseat and I just noticed those as well! I like to stare at them when I am going for rides! I also like to stare at my mobile in my crib and watch it go round and round! The mobile is all elephants and it makes me smile too!

So as you can see, I have been very busy with these new milestones! I also have been busy going places again. Last weekend, was also my cousin Evalina's Baptism and here I am with my mommy at church!

My own Baptism is coming up. My mommy sings church songs to me to get me ready. She said the church songs are the only ones she remembers all the words too! I especially like "Eye Has Not Seen" and "Celtic Alleluia". She said they play those at St John Brebeuf all the time, but we go to St Mary's now so we have to learn new church music.

Well, I should get going. We are going to go for a walk since the weather is so nice! I will write more soon!

A Weekend of Visitors

*Note-You can click on an image for a larger view

Usually my parents and I are busy over the weekend going different places and visiting with friends and family. This weekend was different-we stayed home and people came to us! It was nice to stay at my own house with all my things and my dog, Guinness. He is still not thrilled about me living here, but I think he is coming around. He likes to sniff me and sometimes gives me kisses and I let him. But I don't like when he wakes me up from my naps when he hears the mailman or a car driving by outside!

I am getting off-topic, though! I have to tell you about all the people that came to spend time with me last weekend. We spent Saturday with the Stewart family-my Grandpa Ron, Aunt Marcy and Uncle Al, my cousin Evalina and their dog, Chonna. Evalina and I are exactly 8 weeks apart! We play sometimes but I am usually so sleepy when I see her. We had a fun time with the Stewarts; it was a beautiful day on Saturday so we BBQ'd and spent lots of time on my patio. My Grandpa Stewart even brought his dog, Leland! He is a very good dog despite what Grandpa says!

Later that evening, my parents took me to a festival called Heritage Fest in downtown Dundee, near our house. My mom had her first beer in over 9 months there! We watched a band and walked around a little bit. I had a good time! This is me all bundled up watching the band!

Sunday was an exciting day for two reasons-the Bears were playing and also the Biesiadecki Family came over to meet me! My daddy has known Jeff Biesiadecki since he was in second grade! Now Jeff is married to his wife Ann and they have two kids-Mia who is 4 and Noah is 15 months. My daddy is Mia's godfather! We watched the Bears game with them and ordered pizza. Mia got to hold me and I was fussing a little bit, but she got me to calm down! She is great older sister!  I can't wait to play with Mia and Noah again!

Well, I have to go and take a nap now-I have a playdate later today with Evalina. We have another busy weekend coming up so I will be sure to let you know how it goes! Also, my mom just informed me that I have a dr appointment next week-I will be 2-months old in a few days! I will update you on how much I have grown and also let you know about some exciting milestones I have hit!

Family Time

This weekend I spent a lot of time with my different extended families! On Friday, my mommy went to her cousin's house so it was just me and my dad. My daddy's Aunt Karen ended up calling him and inviting us to come over to her parents house with her and my daddy's Uncle Joe for pizza. I had a great time with them and Aunt Karen's parents, Cliff and Lorraine! Aunt Karen even fed me my bottle! Since they live so close to our house, I plan on seeing them a lot (and getting spoiled in the process!).

Then, on Sunday, it was the day of the Aguilar Family Reunion/Picnic. It was a beautiful day out! I wore one of my best outfits-plaid shorts and a polo shirt. I wanted to look good to meet everyone! You can see my outfit in this picture of me and my cousin Michelle:

As for the picnic, it was a fun time! My Grandpa Saviano has roughly 40 first cousins so you can imagine how big the family is! I only have one cousin, so far, Evalina. Hopefully one day I will have more!  In the meantime, I got to meet a lot of my second and third cousins. Right now, I am the youngest person in the family! I took a picture with my Grandpa's Aunt Edy, she is my Great-grandma Sav's sister and is 89 years old-she is the oldest member of the family!
That's my mommy in the picture, too. She had to hold me since I can't do that by myself yet! But, my neck is getting stronger! Can you tell?

We took lots of different pictures. Here is one of my generation of cousins. We are the Third Cousins generation--and we are growing in size so fast! I am the one in the car seat, if you can't find me!

And here is a group shot of the Saviano family--my mommy's aunts, uncles and cousins (well, some are missing, but this is almost everyone!)

One of the my favorite parts of the day was spending time with my Great-grandma Sav-I was told that she is really good with babies and I agree! I think it's because she is so patient and calm. My daddy captured some really cool pictures of us together!

Overall, I had a great time meeting my family and enjoying a sunny day with everyone! It was decided to do another reunion in 2013! I will be two by then and can't wait to play with all my cousins! I'm sure I won't be the youngest by then!

I hope everyone has a good weekend, I will let you know what I am up to next week!
